Gas Engines
The foundation of any automotive or small engine classroom is the ability to practice repair and maintenance tasks on actual gas engines. From individual units to complete training kits, we make it easy for you to teach kids what they need to know.
Briggs & Stratton Small Engines
Founded in 1908 (just one year before Midwest Technology Products), Briggs & Stratton has become the world’s largest producer of small engines and a leading manufacturer of power generation units (including lithium-ion batteries, standby generators, and energy storage systems), lawn and garden turf care equipment, and job site products. They are trusted by millions of people around the world and backed by the largest service network in the industry.
Individual Small Engines
The Briggs & Stratton 725 Series engines are lightweight and easy to maneuver around a shop classroom. The tool-less access makes for easy maintenance. These are ideal as a basic, entry-level engine for students to get hands-on experience with vertical shaft engines.
The Briggs & Stratton 950 Series engines are commonly found in snow blowers, log splitters, pressure washers, compressors, and tillers. These horizontal engines include a range of features for students to get a well-rounded education in small engines. This includes the dual clean air filtration system, maintenance-free Magnetron electronic ignition, muffler, and fuel tank.
Small Engine Kits
Small engine training kits help you get the most bang for your buck. These kits include everything you need to run a comprehensive program in your school. Typically, small engine kits will include a few engines, repair manuals for that specific engine, textbooks and workbooks that correspond to the included engine, a teacher’s answer key, and a variety of small engine repair tools such as gaskets, ring sets, flywheel keys, and more.
