Nichols   Indispensable for fast, efficient 3D modeling, prototyping, packaging, fabricating and mold making. A safe and fascinating hands-on portable vacuum former for styrene plastic sheets over a variety of vacuum forming molds. User-friendly, open design allows custom molds to be exposed to reduced temperatures, greatly expanding materials to be used as molds or forms. To operate, simply mount a sheet of high impact polystyrene plastic in the pivoting latch-lock frame, lay pattern on the vacuum platen and cycle machine. Unobstructed vacuum surface allows rearranging and straightening of layout up to the final seconds before forming. Free-standing, self-contained unit compacts to suitcase size for storage. Set-up time is less than 90 seconds. A 3-way switch operates both plastic heating and vacuum forming sides of the unit.
