Fischer Fillet Weld Tester

Description

Fischer  25-ton, hydraulic H-frame press will perform qualification and process control testing of typical fillet-welded "T" joints made from 1/2" maximum thickness hot rolled low-carbon steel. The specimens to be tested must have dimensions in accordance with one of the following codes or standards: AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, or AWS B2.1. 

On the bed of the press is a hardened and ground steel plate. The specimen to be tested is placed on this plate and centered under the cylinder ram. During testing, the two legs of the specimen that contact the plate slide on the hardened ground surface, thus allowing the specimen to be flattened, or the weld to fracture, whichever occurs first. If you find the need to use the press in some other way, the tooling plate can be easily removed.
